The International Women in Engineering day was celebrated on 25 June, with several participants also marking the anniversary of the Tipper Group's establishment at TWI. The occasion, which took place on the street at TWI HQ, brought together members of the Tipper Group and wider staff and students along with the representatives from the Professional Membership at TWI for information on continuous professional development (CPD) as part of The Welding Institute's services.
The occasion provided an ideal opportunity to learn more about chartership, e.g. becoming a chartered engineer (CEng). The event also promoted Professional Membership benefits via The Welding Institute, accredited by the Engineering Council, which presents an ideal route to embark upon a continued professional development exercise in an inclusive environment, with plenty on offer for Professional Membership registration, certification and further development, e.g. Membership progression in recognition of achievements.
TWI Innovation Network offers its Industrial Members the opportunity to benefit from Professional Membership, while the Innovation Centres are supporting this actively as part of their research and development resources.
