TWI Innovation Network took part in the discussions and forum focused on the UK energy market: today and beyond. It was held at the Royal Society, 5-6 Carlton House Terrace, London.
From energy distribution network to supplier and consumer relations, including renewable energy generation and provision, as well as innovation platforms and latest developments seeking impetus and funds, a number of important topics were discussed with an opportunity to meet individually.
Global outlook with a focus on UK position, potential Brexit influences, impact of codes and regulations, renewable supplies, pricing, gas provision and implications of energy structure were amongst the subjects that received attention and talks were held accordingly. The TWI Innovation Network also covers developments in the power/energy sector with several of its members engaged as part of the supply chain, service industry, as well as an end user profile. With an international profile and projects from the UK and wider Europe, the network has a number of innovation centres (university partnerships) that focus on the needs of its industrial surrounding.
