  • Kingston University London at TWI Kingston University London at TWI Innovation NetworkTWI Innovation Network welcomed Kingston University London, to TWI's HQ near Cambridge, for the first time. The visit on 20 March 2018 marked an opportunity to make introductions between the two organisations and for Kingston University to explore the TWI site and appreciate the engineering facilities and the Innovation Centres on site. 21 March 2018
  • Royal Society TWI Innovation Network at the Royal Society, LondonTWI Innovation Network was invited to the bespoke seminar by Alfa Energy on the UK Energy Market ('Before and Beyond Brexit'). The event had a full attendee list with many from the manufacturing, construction and energy sectors, including Industrial Members of TWI and it resonated with the audience. 19 March 2018
  • MRE exhibition Materials Research Exchange 2018TWI Innovation Network was at the MRE 2018 exhibition, and engaging with universities and companies that have expressed interest in Innovation Centres (TWI-university partnerships) and the Accelerated Innovation Programme (AIPs) respectively. 19 March 2018
  • Robotics Innovation University of Hertfordshire seeing the TWI Innovation NetworkMonday 12 March saw the TWI Innovation Network welcome the University of Hertfordshire for the very first time at TWI HQ, Cambridge. The visit was an informative occasion to see the innovative eco-system at TWI in action and also the diverse technologies that are being developed in collaboration with the network's Innovation Centres. 19 March 2018
  • Welding and manufacturing exhibition TWI Innovation Network at the Welding Exhibition open to the publicTWI Innovation Network and the AIP members took part in this exhibition, which was open to the public, on 8 March 2018. It was the largest exhibition of its kind ever held at TWI, with several Industrial Members of TWI demonstrating their products and technologies on "The Street" at TWI. 19 March 2018
  • Industrial Members at the bespoke seminar TWI Innovation Network at Industrial Members Day for Welding and ManufacturingTWI Innovation Network was part of this important event, along with a number of AIP members that travelled from overseas. This special seminar was dedicated to the Industrial Members of TWI, who saw a series of presentations from TWI Business Groups covering, materials, joining, and structural integrity aspects as well as the core research programme reports and results that are available for them as part of their TWI membership. 19 March 2018

  • Essex University at TWI Essex University at TWITWI Innovation Network welcomed the Director of Research and Enterprise office, Vanessa Cuthill of the University of Essex on the day of the welding technology exhibition: improving productivity for manufacturing, which was open to public to see a cohort of technologies at TWI and its Innovation Centres, as well as demonstrations from the industrial members of TWI. 19 March 2018
  • Welding Alloys Group Logo Welding Alloys Group visits TWI Innovation NetworkTWI Innovation Network received Welding Alloys Group's R&D Manager Mario Cordero to discuss future collaborative initiatives for a strategic partnership as part of the Accelerated Innovation Programme (AIP). 06 March 2018
  • TWI and IOM3 TWI Innovation Network for education and professional developmentTWI Innovation Network welcomed Diane Aston of the IOM3 London to discuss potential collaborations with a particular focus on the innovation environment at TWI and the future engagement of schools and young professionals as they climb up the education ladder. 27 February 2018

  • Royal Academy of Engineering Event TWI Innovation Network at the Royal Academy of EngineeringTWI Innovation Network was at the Royal Academy of Engineering's Enterprise Hub's fifth anniversary event. This was an opportunity to engage with the SMEs exhibiting their technologies and potential products as well as looking for investment to scale up and increase their impact. 23 February 2018
  • Yesilova Holding visits TWI Yesilova Holding visits TWIYesilova Holding, an innovation accelerator of the TWI Innovation Network, visited TWI's HQ near Cambridge, for the first time, to gain an appreciation of the benefits of Industrial Membership and see technologies and innovations in action. Particular interest was shown for friction stir welding, as Yesilova are major suppliers of Al extrusions. 23 February 2018
